How do you like to have fun?: I enjoy spending time with family and my Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Henry. Working in my home recording studio, playing the guitar, piano and singing. What do you think makes G4 different and why did you choose to work here? Group 4 design offers a dynamic work environment that offers new challenges every day. They impressed me with their energy and the way that they interact while designing and that made me want to be a part of the team. Group 4 delivers innovative design and outstanding project management with a collaborative approach. Ready to work with the Group 4 team? Contact us today. Beverly Griffin is our FF&E Procurement Coordinator here at Group 4 Design. Beverly handles and executes the purchasing decisions for G4's interior design team, and you can usually find her in the material library helping with textile and furniture selections. Professional Superpower: My get it done attitude! As Benjamin Franklin once said, “Don't put off until tomorrow what you can do today.” AND the mute button inside my head that some may call selective hearing. I am able to tune out distractions and stay focused at the task at hand. Why would you think I would only have one. Professional Experience:
How Beverly likes to have fun: By trying to convince my husband that I’m always right. Spending time with "Framily"... Friends + family, get it. My weekend usually consists of some antiquing…my grandma bought it… mom threw it away…I bought it back later. ❤️ some fun in the sun and exploring ocean life. I fear no power tool or a broken fingernail. I enjoy building things with my hands, beautifying my home and yard. Last but not least I like to end my busy day by sampling a nice glass of Cabernet. We wanted to find out a little more about what she believes makes G4 different and why she loves working here: G4 has a..."the employees make our company what it is attitude." They believe in each us, appreciate each of us, trust each of us, are there for each of us and do not hesitate to express it. Really what's not to love. We are a working family! Beverly has an eye for color, materials and decor, which makes her an amazing team member!

Trailside at Reedy Point is a 215 unit multi-family community compromised of two 4-story and six 3-story wood frame buildings. Combining modern luxury with the convenience of easy access to Downtown Greenville's Main Street and Swamp Rabbit Trail. Each loft apartment brings luxury and comfort to a whole new level, featuring "Chef-inspired kitchens with Shaker-style cabinetry, white quartz counter-tops, and 9' ceiling with fans in the living and master bedrooms." Fun Fact about the area: Trailside at Reedy Point is located along the Swamp Rabbit Trail, which was nicknamed after the indigenous swamp rabbit and is "a 22-mile multi-use (walking and bicycling) green-way that traverses along the Reedy River, an old railroad corridor and City parks to connect Travelers Rest with the City of Greenville, South Carolina."
Architecture and interior design by Group 4 Design. Tyler Dobson is a Project Coordinator at Group 4 Design. She attended the University of South Florida- School of Architecture and Community Design, where she obtained a Master's of Architecture. When asking what her "Professional Superpower" is, here's what Tyler had to say: Asking a lot of questions, paying attention to details, and being eager to learn more as I progress! How do you like to have fun and what are your favorite things to do when you aren't working? I love spending time with my family, and pets. But I also enjoy working on my little garden, learning to cook (and trying new local restaurants), thrifting, and going to museums. Professional Experience
What do you think makes G4 different and why did you choose to work here? The attention to detail, design, and lots of teamwork! I loved seeing the local projects in downtown JAX, and wanted to be involved with similar ones. I like the types and scales of projects at G4, and the people too! We absolute love having Tyler here with us, she is a sweetheart and always willing to help!
If you'd like to join our G4 family, contact us today! Chris Brooks is a Project Coordinator here at Group 4 Design. He received his Bachelor of Science in Architecture at Bowling Green State University. We love getting to know our teams "Professional Superpower"; here's what Chris had to say about his: My OCD (CDO as I like to call it; alphabetical order and all) allows me to have "redline vision"; finding and fixing the littlest to biggest discrepancies in the drawings during the review process. Professional Experience
How he likes to have fun I love traveling while spending time with friends and family from the sandy beaches to the snowy mountains. When we are not traveling, my girlfriend and I are at home listening to old vinyl records, watching movies, or planning our next excursion. What he believes makes G4 different and why he loves working here G4 has a great studio-styled work environment with only the best people to work with. The open office space makes it easy and fun to be able to do collaborations with the other employees. Some days it'll be louder than the trade floor while others it's quieter than at a library. I love the fluidness of the work. We can spend one day sketching with the clients, another day working internally to make those sketches come to life. And if we need to make a trip to the site, we can head that way! Group 4 delivers innovative design and outstanding project management with a collaborative approach. Group 4 and Vestcor have teamed up once again - this time they're venturing to the Brooklyn neighborhood in Downtown Jacksonville. The 133-unit complex is 185,000 sq. ft. and will be five stories tall once complete. The first floor will be equipped with a 156-spot parking garage, amenities and a leasing office. The second floor will include a fitness center; along with a club room which will overlook Downtown Jacksonville on the fifth floor. The project's interior design will have hints from surrounding neighborhoods and details which make Downtown Jacksonville so distinguishable. The textures often found downtown, along with the liveliness of the city will subtly reflect in the finishes and final fixtures. Lofts at Brooklyn was inspired by splendid brick texture, raw concrete, distressed wood, and its finishing touches will include deep blue and yellow tones. Hospitality areas will include wood-look flooring and modern lighting surrounded by complementary furniture and cabinetry. Residents will be able to enjoy lounging at three different locations with televisions, or get together with family and friends at the pool table or by the shuffleboard table. There will also be a kitchenette which will include additional fixtures for tenants to use whilst hosting their guests.
This is the fourth work-force housing project in Downtown between G4 and Vestcor. The planned completion is set for November of this year. Here is a peek at the new community's sleek design, along its contemporary features, which bring comfort and style to a whole new level.
The Lofts at Jefferson Station opened in the heart of Downtown Jacksonville on January 16. The five-story, 133- unit community is located at 799 Water Street, is 189,000 sq. ft. and offers a wide array of studio, one, two and three bedroom apartments. The Lofts offer an amazing view of Downtown Jacksonville and a short walk to local entertainment and food in the lively Brooklyn neighborhood. Unmatched perks and amenities include a covered parking garage, 24-hour fitness center, internet café, access to planned events, a resident lounge with billiards tables and a club room with an equipped kitchen. Have you noticed something missing at the Shoppes at Avondale – say, a building or two? Realco Recycling Co., Inc. began demolition Jan. 3. on the space, located at 3562 St. Johns Ave. Once demolition is complete, Angelo Group, the project contractor, will hit the ground running to complete the newest coffee shop location. After exploring options to renovate the space, Southern Grounds & Co. worked with Riverside Avondale Preservation to determine the building was a noncontributing structure – it didn’t meet the criteria for historical preservation. Group 4 developed a façade in keeping with the historic character of the neighborhood and a plan that would benefit the neighborhood by incorporating retail, event space and restaurant efficiently. Avondale is a vibrant, historic community known for its walkability and connectedness – Southern Grounds creates spaces where communities can “Gather Together.” Southern Grounds Avondale will seat around 163 people, including a private room that can be reserved for special events. The chef-driven coffee shop serves a full menu of breakfast and brunch items, beer, wine and an assortment of dessert items.
Like their other locations, they aim to provide a cozy place for friends and neighbors to gather while enjoying fresh roasted coffee and locally sourced, sustainably grown food. And, did we mention it’s delicious? It is. Southern Grounds is affectionately known as SoGro to locals in Neptune Beach and San Marco, where their first two shops are located. The chef-inspired coffee house started in Neptune Beach in 2016, and followed with a second location in San Marco in 2018. The local company was just selected to open a location at Jacksonville International Airport – coffee fans can shop local the second they touch ground. We are so excited for our friends at Southern Grounds and for the Avondale community to gain such an awesome neighbor. Hopefully we’ll be able to gather together with some of you soon over an oat milk latte and an heirloom tomato tartine! |
