We are excited to announce that we are seeking an experienced Senior Interior Designer This role is ideal for someone who can lead design with confidence, manage their own projects, collaborate across disciplines, and support the next generation of designers.
 
Role Description
​
The Senior Interior Designer reports to the Director of Interior Design and leads assigned projects as both designer and project manager. This role supports the development and execution of design concepts, documentation, specifications, client presentations, and project coordination across multiple project types and phases.
​
The Senior Interior Designer will guide projects from concept through completion while coordinating with architects, consultants, project teams, clients, and stakeholders. This person will also mentor other designers, support QA/QC efforts, and help ensure design work aligns with G4 standards, project goals, schedules, and budgets.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Lead interior design projects from concept through completion
  • Serve as the primary designer and project manager for assigned interior design projects
  • Develop design concepts, finish selections, material palettes, specifications, presentations, and project documentation
  • Prepare and oversee design drawings and documentation in alignment with approved concepts and G4 standards
  • Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, vendors, clients, and internal project teams
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, deliverables, communication, and overall project progress for assigned work
  • Lead client presentations, internal design reviews, and project coordination meetings as needed
  • Support design coordination through all project phases, including construction documentation and construction administration
  • Participate in QA/QC reviews and implement feedback into design work
  • Mentor and support designers through project collaboration, delegated tasks, and design guidance

We’d Love to Hear from You If You Have:
  • 8+ years of professional interior design experience
  • Strong experience leading interior design projects from concept through completion
  • Experience managing project schedules, budgets, deliverables, client expectations, and consultant coordination
  • Experience preparing design presentations, finish selections, specifications, construction documents, and project deliverables
  • Experience in commercial, multifamily, hospitality, workplace, corporate, adaptive reuse, mixed-use, residential, or other related project types
  • Strong understanding of interior architecture, materials, construction methods, documentation, and project delivery
  • Experience coordinating with architects, consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal project teams
  • Ability to mentor designers, delegate tasks clearly, and support accountability across a project team
  • Strong communication, leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with design and documentation tools such as Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, or similar platforms
  • Professional licensure, NCIDQ certification, registration, or active pursuit of certification is a plus

The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a confident and collaborative interior designer who understands both the creative and technical sides of design. This person should be comfortable leading their own projects, supporting clients, coordinating with architects and consultants, mentoring other designers, and helping strengthen the quality of Interior Design work across the firm.
