Lofts at Murray Hill The Vestcor Companies| Mixed- Use Multifamily Housing Jacksonville, FL 117 units / 127,322 sq. ft Set in the heart of a vibrant urban neighborhood, this 117 unit workforce-housing apartment community brings new life to a dormant portion of the neighborhood’s main thoroughfare. The leasing and clubhouse spaces are oriented toward the public streetscape which provides street-level activation and allows the design to directly engage this walkable neighborhood’s unique, lively, and creative spirit. 11,000 sf of retail space has been conveniently placed along a prominent neighborhood thoroughfare, which provides more opportunities for street-level activation, allowing more businesses to establish themselves and serve the neighborhood. Inspired by the Mid-Century Modern (MCM) design style, popular at the same time as the neighborhood’s historical peak, the clubhouse draws people in from the street with a fresh and lively interior. Integral to the clubhouse design are the commissioned art and murals that carry you through the entire space. The design team engaged local artists to create a total of 3 interior and 1 exterior murals, along with 8 original art pieces. With murals being a hallmark of this neighborhood, it was important to both the designer and owner to honor and engage with the surrounding community in this way. As the need affordable living options across the city’s central core continues to grow, this apartment community is an example of what successful community engagement and thoughtful interior design can do to positively contribute to a neighborhood’s vibrancy.
Anthem House Gainesville consists of 124 units separated between two 4-story buildings. Conveniently situated in close proximity to the UF campus, just 1 mile away! Other amenities include, a resort style pool, outdoor grilling stations, an on-site fitness center and a beautiful, modern design. Anthem House provides a boutique housing experience for Gainesville student residents. Superior interior finishes, such as, Luxury Vinyl Plank flooring, granite countertops, and a modern community lounge with comfortable seating areas.
Altaire at Millenia is a garden-style apartment community with over 300 unique units, located in the heart of a bustling Florida city center and major destination shopping district. The client challenged the team to create a “show stopper” space whose luxury design would grab the attention of touring residents and set it apart from neighboring communities. With the aesthetic defined as “refined lakeside lodge,” the design team set out to create a warm and inviting space that would function as a both an extension of one’s own living space as well as a retreat for its community residents. Upon entering, residents are ushered into the clubhouse through a grand two-story foyer that provides views to the resort-style pool deck. For productivity, a coffee lounge and co-work space were created on the first floor as a place for residents to grab a quick morning coffee or work “from home” in one of the private co-work studios. A custom 10’-0” long wood live edge waterfall bar table was commissioned as the focal point of this space. Upstairs was reserved for entertainment and includes a private theater with room darkening shades, display kitchen, bar/lounge and game room. The bar and game room capitalize on the lake views with its high ceilings, exposed steel trusses and expansive windows. The finishes and detailing throughout the entire two-story clubhouse convey a sense of luxe sophistication and style while staying on a relatable, human-scale that feels like home. Together, these amenities tell the story of the special and unique experience residents will have when they decide to call this community “home.” Awarded 'Best in Multi-family Residential' at the 2022 IIDA North Florida Illuminate Awards Gala.
The Helix at Lake Mary, located in Lake Mary, Florida is a 300 unit luxury community that encompasses a delicate balance between its owner's modern design preference and the more traditional nature of its anticipated demographic. Due to its central Florida location, this project’s design took cues from a lakeside resort theme, whilst maintaining a boutique hotel look. The nearly 15,000 sq ft of amenity space focuses on a color scheme of cool blues and whites (reminiscent of sky and water) which are brightened with sunshine yellow. Warm stained wood tones are influenced by wooden plank docks and high-end boat decks. The geometry of sails and shade umbrellas is reflected in the patterns and shapes of interior finish materials, artwork, fabrics, and lighting. Large scale art pieces installed on crisp sail white walls gives the space a gallery effect as staff and residents move between the operational and social zones. Double volume spaces with full height storefront glass amplify the grandeur and bring the literal sunshine into the gathering spaces, creating an atmosphere of hospitality for prospective tenants and existing residents alike.
Solaire Apartments, located in Sarasota, Florida is a 233 unit luxurious apartment development which offers its residents both detached and tuck-under garages. The community is comprised of 4 story buildings, with expansive one, two and three-bedroom units ranging from 822 to 1,838 sq ft.
