Role Description
The Interior Designer supports the development and execution of design concepts, documentation, specifications, client presentations, and project coordination across multiple project types and phases.
The Interior Designer will work closely with the Director of Interior Design, Senior Interior Designers, Project Managers, architects, consultants, vendors, and internal project teams to help deliver cohesive, high-quality design solutions. This role supports design coordination from concept through documentation while ensuring work aligns with G4 standards, project goals, schedules, and budgets.
This position is well suited for someone who is creative, organized, eager to learn, and ready to build confidence in both the design and technical sides of interior design.
Responsibilities Include:
- Support interior design projects from concept through completion
- Develop design concepts, finish selections, material palettes, specifications, presentations, and project documentation
- Prepare design drawings and documentation in alignment with approved concepts and G4 standards
- Research materials, systems, furniture, finishes, and design solutions to support project goals
- Assist with design presentations and materials for internal and client review
- Coordinate with architects, consultants, vendors, and internal project teams
- Support design coordination through all project phases, including construction documentation and construction administration
- Participate in QA/QC reviews and implement feedback into design work
We’d Love to Hear from You If You Have:
- 3+ years of professional interior design experience
- Experience supporting interior design projects through multiple phases
- Experience preparing design presentations, finish selections, specifications, construction documents, or project deliverables
- Experience in commercial, multifamily, hospitality, workplace, corporate, adaptive reuse, mixed-use, residential, education, or other related project types
- Strong understanding of interior architecture, materials, finishes, furniture, documentation, and project coordination
- Experience coordinating with architects, consultants, vendors, and internal project teams
- Strong communication, organization, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and respond well to feedback
- Proficiency with design and documentation tools such as Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, or similar platforms
- NCIDQ certification, registration, or active pursuit of certification is a plus
